A Long Journey Through Dreams is a painting by a survivor, a taxi driver who was taken hostage and forced to drive the attacker immediately after the terrorist attack on the Strasbourg Christmas market on 11 December 2018.
This work evokes the deep sleep in which the survivor, suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, is immersed. It illustrates the process of recovery achieved through artistic expression, an essential aspect of art therapy.
