Artist's diary

This first HGGSP class of the Toulouse Academy worked on the media's gaze and realized a Artist's diary, entitled Media coverage of the Toulouse and Montauban attacks in March 2012. The facts and reactions of the media are discussed through drawings, watercolours and texts.

This plastic work also gathers drawings of some newspapers in the wake of each attack, such as the one of Liberation. Samuel Sandler's testimony holds a special place in this work; The students wanted to assign a page to some of his words that marked them.

This artist's diary also covers the attack of 14 July 2016 in Nice, the trials of the Toulouse and Montauban attacks, and the attacks of 13 November 2015. This artistic approach allowed them to pay tribute to the victims of March 2012: their names are written in their memory on the last page.
