Event: Hostage-taking and hijacking of the Air France flight from Algiers to Paris by the ‘Armed Islamic Group’ (GIA) at Marignane Airport

Location: Marseille, France

This cap belonged to a flight attendant who was on board Air France flight 8969 from Algiers to Paris, which was hijacked and grounded at Marignane Airport by Algerian Islamist terrorists.

Certain professions, whose role is to look after the public, sometimes find themselves on the front line during a terrorist attack.
