Event: Kidnapping and murder of two Radio France Internationale (RFI) journalists

Location: Kidal, Mali

This Nagra recorder is identical to the one that Ghislaine Dupont and Claude Verlon, a journalist and sound engineer at RFI, were carrying with them when they were murdered during a terrorist attack.

This item, donated by the colleagues of the two victims, is a tribute to all those who dedicate their lives to the mission of keeping the public informed.

Note: the recorder features two stickers bearing the RFI logo; the microphone is red and bears the inscription ‘rfi’.
