RAF-NSU: In the shadow of German memory

The students of this HGGSP senior class wanted to produce survey tables, supplemented by two dossiers on the memory of the victims of the German extreme left and far right terrorist groups, the RAF and the NSU, at the end of the XXe and at the beginning of the XXIe century.

There is a description of the main actors, such as Zschäpe Beate, one of the main members of the neo-Nazi far-right terrorist organization NSU. The students' work also highlighted the facts and victims of these attacks. Finally, a final part is intended for the memory of these events today. The students conducted a survey of their German relatives to account for the traces that these groups left in the minds.

These surveys allowed them to conclude that the memory of the band at Baader was becoming less and less present in the minds, especially among the new generations. The NSU organization has further marked the collective memory, notably following the media coverage of the recent trial of Z. Beate.
