Management of subscriptions to the GIP MMT newsletter

The newsletter distribution service involves the processing of personal data managed by GIP MMT.

Purposes:

The purpose of this processing is to manage the distribution of the GIP MMT newsletter. It enables GIP MMT to:

  • Manage subscriptions to the newsletter;
  • Manage email distributions.

The legal basis for this processing is the performance of a task carried out in the public interest (Article 6(1)(e) of the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).

This processing of personal data falls within the scope of the exercise of public authority vested in GIP MMT pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation and the amended Data Protection Act.

Data processed

The categories of data processed are:

  • Email address;
  • Subscription date.

The sources of data are as follows:

  • Data subjects;
  • Service provider responsible for managing subscriptions and sending the newsletter.

Mandatory nature of data collection

The collection of the email address is mandatory for the dispatch of the newsletter.

Automated decision-making

The processing does not involve automated decision-making.

The data processing concerns individuals who wish to subscribe to or unsubscribe from the GIP MMT newsletter.

Recipients of data

Categories of recipients:

Within the limits of their respective needs, the following are recipients of all or part of the data:

  • The GIP MMT communications department;
  • The service provider responsible for managing subscriptions and sending the newsletter.

Data transfers outside the EU:

No data is transferred outside the European Union.

Data retention period

GIP MMT retains the email address until the data subject unsubscribes (via the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter sent).

Security

Security measures are implemented in accordance with GIP MMT’s information systems security policy, which is based on the State’s information systems security policy (PSSI).

You may access and obtain a copy of your personal data, object to the processing of such data, have it rectified or have it erased. You also have the right to restrict the processing of your data.
