Transcription and translation of the exhibit panel

Violence is not the only outcome of terrorist attacks. Almost always – albeit not without immense difficulty – a path forward emerges in the wake of the tragedy. A return to normality, however imperfect, proves possible. This resilience shown by survivors is an essential part of the collective memory, which is increasingly being expressed through artistic creation.

It is street art that pays tribute to the victims at the very sites of an attack. These are artists who have themselves faced terrorist violence.
They are also victims who have found in artistic creation a way out of their trauma. These are outpourings of solidarity that know neither borders nor age differences.

We offer a few examples of this here (on the following pages).
